Authorities are expected to report on the search results in the coming hours. Juan Díaz, an engineer and drone operator for N+, was reported missing, so the media outlet asked for help to locate him after he was last seen near Lámina Santa Fe. The disappearance occurred around 1:00 PM this Thursday, April 2, at the Lámina Santa Fe facilities in El Rosario, Sinaloa. After four hours without any news of him, the newscast reported on the search. According to N+, the drone he was presumably operating fell due to a signal inhibitor, and the engineer went to look for it about 500 meters away; however, he did not return. "We are requesting the support of local and federal authorities to locate engineer Juan Díaz," stated N+, a Televisa channel. Fifteen hours after the disappearance of Juan Díaz was reported, an image was shared on social media asking for help in case he was found. This image, compiled by Quadratín, contains the phone number 55 5224 5793 for people to report any information about his whereabouts. Juan Díaz was covering the rescue operation for the miners trapped in the Santa Fe mine, and according to Quadratín, it is a ravine area where he was last seen. It was also reported that at least three groups made up of Army personnel, Civil Protection, and rescue workers have entered the area to begin the ground search. The search in the mountainous areas focuses on strategic points such as the riverbed and a site known as 'El Polvorín'. The Secretariat of the Navy is also collaborating with an overflight of a Black Hawk helicopter, and there are drones monitoring hard-to-reach areas to locate engineer Juan Díaz. For now, it is unknown if he could have been a victim of violence due to his work in the media.
